After saving Rick O'Connell from death, librarian Evelyn Carnahan enlists his help to visit an archaeological dig at the ancient city of Hamunaptra. When they arrive they awaken the High Priest Imhotep from the dead. He longs to resurrect his long lost love and will do anything to see it through.
